Following the initial rollout, the clinic at the Air National Guard’s 185 th Air Refueling Wing in Sioux City began to expand their efforts to include all military members. Members of the Iowa National Guard began receiving first rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations earlier this year after the vaccine became available. “They don’t mess around over here. It was a great group and hopefully the message gets spread as far as possible and everyone comes out and gets vaccinated,” Clark said. Clark joined the Lieutenant Governor at the event to especially encourage men to get vaccinated. “It’s a great way to protect yourself, it’s a great way to protect your family that you love, and it’s a great way to protect your community as well,” said Gregg.Īdding additional star power to the event Gregg was joined by former Iowa Hawkeye and former NFL Tight End Dallas Clark.
